Buffalo's riotous rock group Every Time I Die have unveiled a sweat drenched, whisky soaked new video for "After One Quarter of a Revolution" from their recently released album, New Junk Aesthetic. Compiled of clips from an insanely ferocious show at The White Rabbit in San Antonio, TX, the video is a two minute ripper of stage dives and face melting shredding that will make fans salivate to see them live and pick up the album.

With an 11 year old Harley Flanagan on the drums, the band was set to take over New York City playing fast but foot-tapping punk based rock. Having played all the local dives like Ungano's, Rock Bottom and the illustrious Max's Kansas City. Garnishing a few elite fans through the city, which sent them running to Bleeker Bob's for their debut single "Loud Fast Rules!". This was the ROIR tape, which documented the Stims live at The Pier in Raleigh, NC in 1981.

Shine not Burn will explore all the beauty of Scottish folk music at its best, with the lads incorporating mandolins, penny whistles, bag pipes and more. Seventeen years ago we never dreamed that our fucked up lives and loves could have led to where we are today. Throughout fifteen of these blissful years we’ve enjoyed recording, touring and performing our Scottish-Canadian folk-rock all around the world. We’ve had the honor of playing massive venues, huge-decibel shows, and weekend-long Celtic rock festivals. But during these same tours we occasionally play quaint venues, dimly-lit squats, tiny pubs. It’s these concerts where we’ve loved closing in tight to our fans and enjoying an intimacy level that’s lost on the mainstage. In 2009 we toured with acoustic guitars, mandolins, penny whistles, 3-piece drums sets and upright basses, to drop the amplitude and try something new. We chose Wild at Heart in Kreuzberg, Germany to record one of these performances and put together a new release called ‘Shine not Burn’ (The original heraldic motto of the Clan McKenzie). From this live recording and the time we spent in Berlin in and around the performance, we’ve also compiled a great deal of video which we plan to release as a new DVD package entitled ‘The Real McKenzies Love You’ due for release in April of 2010. We’d like to thank our fans who provide us with constant inspiration and drive to continue representing our passions. Although once again we find ourselves with less than a sawbuck in the bank, we’re stoked to perform 3 Eurotours, a Canadian tour, and a whoever-the-hell-else-will-have-us tour in 2010. Cheers mates! We love you!

Thee Hypnotics hailed from High Wycombe, UK and formed in 1989. Soon thereafter they released this EP titled "Half Man Half Boy" which features 2 tracks off their "Come Down Heavy" LP and 2 B-sides. Much to the delight of retro rockers who couldn't get enough of a fix of The Stooges output mixed with a little bit of MC5, pink Fairies and even Blue Cheer.

They released a number of singles & EP's, plus 3 LP's, 2 of which are heavy in all things rock, the last of which sounded more like Black Crowes, probably because their singer produced it. Still, their early stuff is a pretty decent fix of Stooges inspired fuzzed up meltings. Vocalist Jim Jones currently resides in the Jim Jones Revue.

Cult rock heroes Alkaline Trio have scored their highest charting position with the release of the acclaimed new album This Addiction, which debuts at #11 selling north of 25K copies in the first week. This is the band's first release on their newly formed label Heart & Skull and in partnership with Epitaph Records.

Called Alkaline Trio's "best album in years" by Los Angeles Times and "a vital, rousing, occasionally heartbreaking monument to punk-rock gumption that gives looking backward a good name" by Metromix, This Addiction has caught the ears of critics and fans around the globe with a valiant return to the band's punk rock roots.

The beloved Trio recently released a vibrant new video for their first single and title track and is scheduled to perform "This Addiction" on "The Late Show with David Letterman" on March 10 in support of the new album. Additionally, the band is currently on a headlining tour, selling out venues across the country. (see dates below)

Alkaline Trio first emerged from Chicago in 1996 and has since released the full length studio albums Goddamnit, Maybe I'll Catch Fire, From Here To Infirmary, Good Mourning, Crimson and 2008's Agony & Irony, which was previously the band's highest charting record. Alkaline Trio is comprised of guitarist/vocalist Matt Skiba, bassist/vocalist Dan Andriano and drummer Derek Grant, all of whom are partners in the Heart & Skull label.

Not unlike Charred Remains and the obscure and sometimes noisy Try A Dull Knife, Meathouse was released by the same hardcore noise merchants. Version Sound from Xenia, Ohio (Land Of Gummo) released this blistering compilation in 1982. Featuring legendary bands from the hardcore movement like Minutemen, Battalion Of Saints, Crucifucks and the incredibly innovative Tar Babies & Mecht Mensch.

There's no doubt these cassettes inspired future cum-buckets full of punk spunk for generations to come. The select few that were fortunate enough to get this cassette back in the day would be forever indebted to the bands and to Xenia, Ohio. I dumped this from the original cassette at 320 for the best deserves the best.

NOFX are currently on tour in South America with a few dates left but last night someone performed a little sleight of hand act on Fat Mike. Take a peek at what Fat Mike had to say about it:

If there ever was a good way to get mugged, I found it. Yeah, No one wants to get robbed, but if you do, I can’t think of a better way.

So, I’m walking down the streets of Buenos Aires at around 7 am looking for a bar and I stop at an intersection. I wanted to text one of our camera dudes and tell him that I was gonna wander around town for a while and maybe he wanted to film me. I pushed send and a guy on a bike accidentally knocks my I-phone out of my hand. Wait a second, he doesn’t stop and my I-phone isn’t on the ground. I look to my right and there he is, holding my phone (which has a fuck load of pictures that I don’t really want made public) with his right hand and making a pretty fast getaway. Wow! I’ve been robbed!

I kind of laugh and think, pretty sneaky. What a fucking great way to get robbed. No violence, no trauma, no chance I’m gonna run after him. Pretty sweet really. I also had a few hundred bucks in the phone case, but I would rather lose that then get held up at gunpoint or bashed in the head with a pipe. So even though I lost, I really kind of won. South America ain’t such a bad place after all.

Ps. I had a passcode lock on my phone so you didn’t get shit mother fucker! You do get points for style though. I was impressed.
