DMZ "Live 1978"

DMZ formed in '75 and were among the first wave of the American myth punk rock. Heavily influenced from 60's nugget bands, Mono Mann and his band of delinquents sang on the bits of the flying trapeze, making their fellow Bostonians proud. But don't let that fool ya, they sound like they're straight outta the heart of Detroit.

As you know we here at PNP love ourselves some DMZ, and this album ain't no different. With the exception on this album the band kick out the jams live in 1978.

In an era when the airwaves are littered by music made solely on computers, this is a mere reminder of what it's really all about. Getting in the garage, getting in the van and fucking the man. Ripped at 320.

Discharge "1977 Demos"

Discharge from Stroke-on-Trent were purveyors of fine filth long before most may think. Formed in 1977, brothers Tez and Robert along with 3 other chaps gigged around in local gigs and recorded this demo 'till 79 when Tez recruited one Cal to be the band's new singer and Tez handled the drums.
This isn't the fearsome Discharge that we all know, it's a much more 1977 sounding punk influenced by the Sex Pistols, The Damned & Clash and the like. They would soon become one of the most ripped off, copied and influential bands of the punk era.
I remastered these myself in Punk Not Profit's very own multi-million dollar studio, so only expect the best. Elite To The End.

Every Time I Die Get "Sh*tty" In New Web Series

Buffalo, New York's favorite party dudes Every Time I Die have officially announced the release of a new weekly episodic series entitled “Sh*t Happens: The Series?”. This latest endeavor into international debauchery finds the boys again teamed up with Space Monkey Studios to bring you the finest in unapologetic tomfoolery. “The Series?” will premiere with a recap of their previous releases (including cult classic “Sh*t Happens”, “Party Poopers” and “The Dudes and Don’ts of Recording”) on July 14, while the first full episode will air on July 28. Fans can stream the series’ theme song now at www.vans.com/ETID.

Over the next 12 weeks, Every Time I Die will unveil episodes that are packed to the gills with impromptu footage showcasing the band’s signature brand of humor that has made them infamous amongst their fans and peers alike. This is by no means a scripted reality show containing foreseeable plot twists and over-dramatic story arches. Nor is this your typical live band DVD that focuses on the tedium of tracking a record or the self-congratulatory tales of what inspired their lyrics. Instead, “The Series?” focuses on what it is exactly that drives 5 individuals from similar backgrounds to forfeit family and friends and take to the road year after year for the sake of their craft. Whether you’re a fan of music or simply an admirer of the nomadic spirit that resides in all of us, “Sh*t Happens: The Series?” will make you feel at home.

“We never set out to be funny on camera,” says guitarist Jordan Buckley. “We set out to make good music and make people come to our shows. This is like a spinoff. This is the “Empty Nest” to our “Golden Girls.”

“This isn’t like a concert,” adds bassist Josh Newton. “It’s us being idiots.”
